Kelly Guenther

Lead Teacher / Social Science Resource Specialist

Hi!  I am the lead teacher in the special education department here at Newark Memorial High School and also the social science resource specialist.  I have been a teacher at NMHS since 2009.

I love working with students in special education.  I believe that each and every young person should be able to reach the goals they set for themselves, and I am committed to helping them do so.  I feel absolutely privileged to see my students grow from sophomores ("wise fools" - often a very accurate term) into seniors heading out the doorway towards their adult lives.

I am always happy to hear from my students and their families about any concerns they might have.  I can be reached by phone at (510)818-4431 or by email at kguenther@newarkunified.org.  Please call or email me to schedule a meeting if you would like to talk in person.
